Integrated Youth Services (IYS) has been rapidly gaining momentum across Canada. Many provinces, service providers, youth and families, as well as Indigenous communities, have embraced this community-based model of care. The Graham Boeckh Foundation is currently supporting a variety of provincial initiatives to help further develop and catalyze IYS across the country. They are:
- Foundry, British Columbia IYS
- Kickstand, Alberta
- Huddle Manitoba
- Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario IYS
- Aire ouverte, Québec
- New Brunswick Integrated Services Delivery
Other provinces and territories are also in the process of developing their own IYS initiatives. The suite of existing and emerging IYS projects constitutes the largest and most ambitious movement underway to reform mental health services in Canada.
These projects all share a vision of Canada where young people anywhere can easily access high-quality, evidence-based, culturally appropriate, community-based services for mental health, substance use and related services.
